Kathmandu, Dec 9: Sudurpaschim Royals has set a 156-run victory target for Biratnagar Kings in the first qualifier match of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) second season.
Invited to bat first after losing the toss at the Kirtipur-based TU Cricket Ground today, Sudurpaschim Royals gathered 155 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
For Sudurpaschm Royals, Binod Bhandari scored the highest 63 runs with three fours and two sixes off 52 balls. Likewise, Aasif Sheikh and Sheldon Jackson contributed equal 20 runs, Harjit Singh 14 runs and Ishan Pnadey 13 runs.
On bowling side, Pratish GC and Merchant de Lange took two wickets each while Surya Tamang and Sam Heazlett took one wicket each.
The winning team today will make an entry to the final scheduled for coming December 13. Likewise, the looser will also get an opportunity to play eliminator. Biratnagar is now on batting attack. #nepal #rss
