Kathmandu, Dec 9: The first match of the qualifier stage in the second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) is set to take place today afternoon.
Sudurpaschim Royals and Biratnagar Kings will face each other at 4:00 PM at the TU International Cricket Stadium, Kirtipur.
Sudurpaschim Royals and Biratnagar Kings secured their spots in Qualifier after finishing first and second respectively in the points table.
In the league stage, Sudurpaschim Royals won six of their seven matches, while Biratnagar Kings emerged victorious in five games. In the league stage, Biratnagar defeated Sudurpaschim with brilliant batting performance of South African batter faf-du Plesis (50 runs in 19 balls) and bowling of captain Sandeep Lamichhane.
The winner of today’s match will advance directly to the finals, while the losing side will get another chance to qualify through the eliminator. Kathmandu Gorkhas and Lumbini Lions will be playing in the Eliminator stage tomorrow or December 10. #nepal #cricket
