UAE celebrates 52nd National Day ceremony in Kathmandu



Kathmandu, Nov 26: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Embassy in Kathmandu organized a reception on the occasion of the 52nd National Day of UAE on Saturday evening.

Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav attended the reception. Present in the reception organized by the UAE’s Ambassador to Nepal Abdulla Jarwan Al Shamsi were ministers, deputy speaker, parliamentarians, chiefs of the constitutional bodies and heads of the foreign diplomatic missions in Nepal.

Furthermore, the event saw presence of high-ranking officials of the government of Nepal, industrialists and people from the media and social fraternity among others.

Delivering a speech on the occasion, Ambassador Al Shamsi shared various aspects of the impending COP28 to be held in Dubai this month and called for collective efforts to stave off the effects of climate change.

He also pledged that the UAE was willing to collaborate with the Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and developing ones for sustainable and green development as well as climate actions.
