Kathmandu, July 1: Today’s meeting of the National Assembly has unanimously passed the resolution on combating gender-based violence carried out by using technology.
The resolution presented by NA member Renu Chand on ‘Effective implementation of the resolution on preventing and controlling gender-based violence carried out by using technology and ensuring protection of women’s rights and access to justice by making necessary policy, legal and institutional arrangements’ was unanimously passed.
On the occasion, NA Chair Narayan Prasad Dahal directed the government to submit before the Upper House the progress of the effective implementation of the resolution every three months.
He also urged the concerned parliamentary committee to monitor the progress of the enforcement of the resolution. #nepal #rss
