Kathmandu, July 20: The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Environment has stated that 1,250 metric tons of DAP chemical fertilizer will arrive in Nepal on Monday.
A total of 30,000 metric tons of DAP fertilizer purchased through a global tender arrived at the Kolkata port of India on July 10. Of this, 1,250 metric tons was transported towards Nepal on July 17.
The packaging (bagging) work of the remaining fertilizer is currently underway at the Kolkata port.
The fertilizer will gradually enter Nepal once the packaging is completed, says the Secretariat of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Environment.
