KATHMANDU. At least 9 people have been killed in a bus accident in Ramechhap district so far. Raju Khadka, a local, told newspolar.com that the accident took place at the border of Sunapati Gaonpalika-5 and Khandadevi Gaonpalika-1 of the district.
The bus (Ba 3 Kha 8396) coming from Ramechhap to Kathmandu met with an accident on Tuesday morning.
According to the Ramechhap District Administration Office, many people are estimated to have died in the accident. So far, 9 people have died on the spot. The death toll could rise.
Rescue work is underway. Efforts are being made to rescue the seriously injured from the accident by helicopter. The injured have been taken to Dhulikhel Hospital for treatment.
