KATHMANDU: A total of 20,467 people from 65 different organizations have applied to the Election Commission to observe the local level election.
According to Election Commission spokesperson Shaligram Sharma Poudel, the Commission had issued a 15-day deadline on March 27 for organizations wishing to observe the election to submit their applications via email.
The number of observers proposed by these organizations is 20,467, of which 11,694 are men, 8,482 are women and 291 others.
The spokesperson informed that a decision will be taken as soon as possible after investigating the applications of these organizations.
