27 people arrested for their involvement in violent activities



Kathmandu, Sept 10: Twenty-seven people have been arrested for their involvement in violent activities with an intention of looting, torching and destroying lives and property by taking advantage of recent adverse situation.

The Nepali Army took them under control from 10:00 pm Tuesday to 10:00 am today. The security bodies also seized Rs 3.37 million from different individuals involved in robbery from Gaushala-Chabahil and Bouddha area, added the NA.

Similarly, different types of weapons were confiscated from Kathmandu and Pokhara. According to the Directorate of the Public Relations and Information of the NA, activities are underway to douse fire set by demonstrators on public and private properties.
