385 new COVID-19 cases detected, four succumb to virus

KATHMANDU: The country has recorded 385 more coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours. With this, the caseload has reached 819,386 so far.

The new number of COVID-19 cases was recorded in course of conducting 12,679 tests.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 258 more coronavirus patients have recovered from the virus in the same period.

With this, the number of patients who have recovered from the coronavirus has reached 800,617. The recovery rate is 97.7 per cent, added the Ministry.

Also today, four more persons succumbed to COVID-19, taking the death toll to 11,500. The mortality rate is 1.4 per cent. There are 7,269 active cases of coronavirus in the country.

A total of 6,827 are on home isolation and 442 on institutional isolation, with 230 in ICU and 55 on ventilator support.
