Pakistan Embassy awards scholarships to over 200 Nepali students



Kathmandu, June 18: The Embassy of Pakistan in Nepal on Thursday organized the 14th Annual Ambassador of Pakistan Scholarship ceremony in Kathmandu, providing scholarships to more than 200 deserving school students from different parts of Nepal.

Speaking at the event, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Nepal, Abrar H. Hashmi, presented scholarship certificates to the selected students and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to supporting education and empowering young people in Nepal.

The embassy also marked the 150th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah by presenting a commemorative award in the form of a laptop to Prapti Lamsal of Tribhuvan University, Pokhara Campus, in recognition of her outstanding academic achievement.

According to the embassy, the Ambassador of Pakistan Scholarship Program, launched in 2013, has benefited more than 2,100 Nepali school and college students over the past 14 years.

The initiative aims to promote educational opportunities for deserving students while strengthening the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Pakistan and Nepal through academic and people-to-people exchanges. #nepal #pakistan
