Kathmandu, July 16: Renowned Nepali litterateur Nagendra Raj Sharma passed away on Wednesday at the age of 89 at his residence in Gaurinagar, Chabahil, Kathmandu.
A distinguished figure in Nepali literature, Sharma was the founding editor and publisher of the bimonthly literary magazine Abhivyakti and made significant contributions to the country’s literary landscape through his novels, essays and other writings.
Among his notable works are the novels Mahapurush (Great Personality) and Diwaswapna (Day Dream). His other literary contributions include Peepalako Botmuni (Under the Peepal Tree) and Ekantaka Afantaharu (Companions of Solitude).
According to family sources, Sharma’s last rites were performed at Pashupati Aryaghat in Kathmandu on Wednesday. #nepal
