Kathmandu, July 28: Former Deputy Prime Minister and Nepali Congress (NC) leader Gopal Man Shrestha passed away today while undergoing treatment at Helios Hospital in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur, said NC Spokesperson Devraj Chalise. He was 79.
Shrestha’s mortal remains will be kept at the party central office Sanepa, Lalitpur tomorrow on Wednesday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am so that party leaders, cadres, and well-wishers could pay their final respects to him. Thereafter, the body will be taken to the Pashupati Aryaghat for the last rites.
Meanwhile, the party has called an emergency meeting at 8:30 am tomorrow on Wednesday.
The meeting is scheduled to endorse a condolence motion over the demise of the party senior leader Shrestha. #nepal #rss
