KANCHANPUR: Two persons died in a road accident in Arjuni area of Daiji-Jhalari section of East-West Highway, Kanchanpur on Friday night.
The deceased have been identified as Ganesh Bahadur Bam, 35, and Bhutesh Bahadur Bam, 18, of Bedkot Municipality-5.
According to the police, they died while undergoing treatment at Seti Provincial Hospital, Dhangadhi.
The accident reportedly took place when a jeep hit a motorcycle that Ganesh and Bhutesh were riding on.
The jeep driver has been arrested and further investigation into the incident is underway, according to the Area Police Office, Jhalari.
Nepal has remained one of the vulnerable country in terms of road accident. Bad road condition, ignore of traffic rules, bad condition of vehicles, among others have been contributing to road accidents across the country.
