KATHMANDU: Actress Miruna Magar of ‘Kabaddi 4’ has clarified about the incident of ‘abuse’ that took place last week through social media.
Urging to raise voice against wrongdoing, she has even appealed not to suffer silently. “Take a stand and fight against what is wrong, no matter how difficult it may seem,” she said in a statement.
Actress Miruna has apologized to the wider communities who have been unintentionally offended by the incident.
She goes on to say: “I am extremely touched by the stories of similar incidents that so many of you have reached out to share with me. I commmend you for the gathering the courage to do it. Never suffer in silence. Take a stand and fight against what is wrong, no matter how difficult it may seem.”
In her statement Miruna says, “There is no wrong time to do the right thing.”
Miruna had alleged that Phurpa Tamang had touched her in a coffee shop of Civil Mall on Jestha 17. Police had arrested Phurpa after the complaint. Phurpa, who was released on Rs 3,000 bail, had even apologized to Miruna.
The statement reads: Furpa categorically accepted that he inappropriately touched me at Civil Mall and unreservedly apologised for this misbehaviour. I have accepted his apologies. The agreement was reached and accepted by both parties in the presence of representatives and community leaders from all sides in the spirit of seeking peace. My actions were against an individual and not against the community and religion.
She has thanked all the well-wishers, families and Kabaddi 4 Team for their support during this difficult time.
Miruna’s Statement
