Kathmandu, March 31: Newly appointed Minister of Finance Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat has promised to bring in track the troubled economy by reforming it.
He made such a commitment while assuming office in the ministry after taking the oath of office and secrecy on Friday. He requested the entire state mechanism to dwell on economic problems the country have been facing.
Finance Minister Dr Mahat said that the government will increase its spending capacity, increase in investment and expand the range of revenues. He also informed that the government will not force businesses and others while collecting revenue and tax.
