Maoist Centre, Nepal Samajbadi to speed up unification modalities 



Kathmandu, Nov 19: The unity process between CPN (Maoist Centre) and Nepal Samajbadi Party has again gained momentum. The joint meeting of the negotiating team of the two parties held today at the party office of the Maoist Centre, Parisdanda, agreed to advance the unity process.

In the meeting, both party leaders agreed to form a party unity coordination committee.

The committee has discussed the ideological and policy issues raised by both parties and agreed to move forward on the basis of consensus. Similarly, it has been decided to give suggestions to both the parties to proceed according to the agreement of the unity committee regarding the party constitution, name, organizational structure, election symbol etc.

After the meeting, Krishna Bahadur Mahara, the coordinator of the negotiation committee and Ganga Narayan Shrestha, the coordinator of the Nepal Samajbadi Party, issued a joint statement. General Secretary of Maoist Centre Dev Prasad Gurung, Nepal Samajbadi Party leaders Durga Sob and others were present in the meeting.
