Five climbers summit Manaslu today morning



Kathmandu, Sept 19: A team of five climbers, including Sherpa guides, climbed Mount Manaslu (8,163 metres) today morning.

The team reached atop the eighth-highest mountain in the world at 7:10 am, confirmed Tashi Lakpa Sherpa, Managing Director of the expedition organiser, Seven Summit Treks.

The expedition was led by renowned climber Chhang Dawa Sherpa.

• Pasang Nurbu Sherpa (Nepal)
• Josette Valloton (Switzerland)
• Rinji Sherpa (Nepal)
• Ming Sona Sherpa (Nepal)

Earlier on September 18, 2024, a rope fixing team of six Sherpas under the management of the Expedition Operators Association Nepal (EOA-Nepal), reached Manaslu clearing a route for this climbing season.

The team from Seven Summit Treks became the first to scale the peak at 15:30 pm, said SST.

6. Sirjangbu Sherpa (Sankhuwasabha) (Nepal)
