Kathmandu, Sept 27: A meeting of the Judicial Council today proposed Nripa Dhwoj Niraula and Nityananda Pandey as the Supreme Court (SC) judges.
The meeting chaired by Chief Justice and Council Chair Bishwambhar Prasad Shrestha recommended the two as the next SC judges.
Niraula is presently the chief judge of High Court Patan and Pandey is the chief judge of High Court Tulsipur.
Similarly, the meeting decided to transfer 14 judges of high courts, according to Council’s Spokesperson Ashok Kumar Chhetri.
Likewise, the meeting decided to designate Subhash Paudel, the judge of High Court Tulsipur, Nepalgunj bench as the law member and chair of Revenue Tribunal Nepalgunj and Gokarna Dangi, the judge of High Court, Dipayal as the chair of Foreign Employment Tribunal.
