Construction of Bhanu Literary Park to begin in Chundi Ramgha



Kathmandu, Aug 25: Bhanu Literary Park is to be built in Chundi Ramgha, the birthplace of the pioneer poet Bhanubhakta Acharya.

The foundation stone of Bhanu Bhavan, which is being built in the first phase of the park construction, will be laid on coming October 6, on the occasion of the memorial day of poet Acharya.

The matter was discussed between representatives of the Ministry of Urban Development and the office bearers of the Park Construction Committee in presence of President Ramchandra Paudel today.

According, it was decided to formally start the construction of the park on the occasion of Bhanu Jayanti, shared Dr Brataraj Acharya, General Secretary of the Bhanu Literary Park Construction Committee.

A Bhanu Literary Park master plan was prepared based on the vision and initiative of President Paudel with the aim of developing Chundi Ramgha as a pilgrimage site for Nepali language, literature and culture.

The park is planned to have structures reflecting famous shrines from all seven provinces and statues of famous writers of different mother tongues in the country.

It may be noted that the government has allocated Rs 200 million in the current fiscal year for the construction of the park.#nepal #
