Former MP’s Forum request to take country forward through elections

Kathmandu, Sept 16: The Former MP’s Forum Nepal has called on all political parties to take the country forward by participating in the upcoming elections, while correcting themselves as per the people’s aspirations.

Expressing sorrow over the huge loss of lives and property during the September 8 and 9 Gen-Z protest, the Forum urged the political parties to take the country forward by participating in the election. “Election is the best practice of democracy.

It is the best opportunity for leaders to go among the people and test themselves,” reads a press release issued by Forum President Omkar Prasad Shrestha.

The Forum stressed that a wrong trend should not be established that anything can be done in the name of street agitation, demanding formation of an independent commission and action against those involved in vandalism and arson on state’s heritages, and property of individuals.

“The Nepali society has got an interim government despite conspiracy of various forces. The Forum thanks the President, other individuals and communities for their role in its favour”, reads the statement.

The Forum expected that the interim government would get success to hold elections on time and maintain law and order in the society.

Paying tributes to those who lost their lives during the Gen-Z protest and extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members, the Forum has wished the injured a speedy recovery.#nepal #rss
