Kathmandu, Oct 4: The Home Ministry has directed the all district administration offices to facilitate in order to take all the vehicles stationed at different highways to their destinations viewing the weather and road condition.
Sending a circular to all chief district officers on Saturday, the Ministry urged district administration offices to make arrangement of food for the passengers with the coordination of local levels and organisations as per the need.
Similarly, directives has been issues to make arrangement of sending the ambulances to their destinations safely and stranded pregnant women to birthing centres as well as to shift the people of areas prone to landslide and flood to safer places—schools and open places, said the Ministry.
Under-Secretary at the Ministry, Nishan Raj Gautam, the ministry has asked to make arrangement of vehicles for passengers returned from airport after cancellation of flights due to adverse weather with coordination of transport entrepreneurs as well as district administration offices were urged to contact Peace Security and Crime Control Section of the Ministry if it is necessary to immediately rescue by helicopter due to flood and landslide.
Likewise, the circular was sent asking the chief district officer and chiefs of security bodies of the districts that are at high risk of landslide, flood and inundation to remain present in the office round the clock keeping the adverse weather in mind.#nepal #rss
