Kathmandu, Dec 24: In view of the approaching election to the House of Representatives (HoR) on March 5, 2026, the Ujyalo Nepal Party and the Sarvodaya Party have decided to forge an electoral alliance.
During a joint press conference held Wednesday, the leaders of both parties signed an agreement on the electoral alliance, reaffirming their commitment to contest the election together.
At the event, Chairman of the Ujyalo Nepal Party, Anup Upadhyay, and Chairman of the Sarvodaya Party, Deepak Sah, endorsed the electoral alliance declaration.
As per the decision, the Sarvodaya Party will use the Ujyalo Nepal Party’s election symbol, ‘Burning Bulb’, for the upcoming election. They will prepare election manifesto jointly.
Chairman Upadhyay stated that the formal announcement of the electoral alliance aimed at addressing the current complex political landscape, instability, and the rising public disenchantment.
Likewise, Chairman Sah emphasized that the decision to participate in the elections as a unified front was especially driven by the Gen Z Movement that sought accountability and corruption-free state. #nepal #rss
