Rautahat, Feb. 27: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has reiterated the government’s commitment to conducting the election to the House of Representatives (HoR) in an impartial and peaceful atmosphere.
During his visit to Gaur, the district headquarters of Rautahat, to evaluate peace and security arrangements in view of the election on Friday, the government spokesperson urged all voters to exercise their franchise on March 5 with confidence and enthusiasm.
He added that effective peace and security measures were put in place for the election. Aryal further stated that no one was allowed to breach the law.
Speaking to the media after instructing security officials in Rautahat, the Home Minister said, “We are in the role of facilitators.
However, we are determined to take legal action against anyone who commits wrongdoing or violates the law.”
The Minister warned that violations of the election code of conduct are punishable by law and urged voters not to be misled by unnecessary rumours and propaganda surrounding the election.
“The nation is fully prepared for the election. The government and the Election Commission have made clear and effective preparations and schedules. There is now no doubt about the timely conduct of the voting,” he said.
Earlier, Chief District Officer Dinesh Sagar Bhusal, said that all necessary preparations for the election were completed. High security arrangements are in place at polling centres categorized as highly sensitive and sensitive.
Officiating Chief Election Officer Ram Prasad Bhandari and other concerned officials accompanied the Home Minister during the visit. #nepal #rss
