Kathmandu, March 20: Different areas in the Kathmandu Valley have witnessed heavy traffic following the rain occurred since late afternoon today.
The traffic authorities have shared that they have faced challenges in traffic management.
The Superintendent of Police of the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, Naresh Raj Subedi, said that a traffic jam was recorded in Koteshwor and other key intersections in the city.
The roads in the Maitighar, Putalisadak and Tinkune areas are filled with the drain water, adding woes to the vehicles. Subedi said that the traffic police are working to restore the normal situation.
Likewise, he urged the commoners to avoid travel, if possible, because the risks of road accidents are high from falling trees, power leakage, damages of the roofs and others. #nepal #rss
