A Memorable Educational Journey to Kirtipur

Kirtipur; When I went to school that morning, I was really nervous but also excited, thinking I would learn amazing and engaging things. We sat on the bus and left for our destination with my friends. When we arrived, it felt like a dream. On the way to Kirtipur, I saw so many extraordinary views that I was completely speechless.

The first temple we visited was the Baghbhairav Temple. We had learned a lot about this temple in the past, but I still wanted to explore more and dive deeper into its magical history. My teachers, Miss Sany and Biraj Sir, told us many interesting facts about it. It is believed that if we make 108 rounds around the temple, our wishes will be fulfilled. We observed the beautiful designs and the stunning wooden architecture of the temple—everything looked incredible.

Next, we went to the Uma-Maheshwor Temple, another name for Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva. People visit this temple to pray for a bright future and blessings for children. Like the previous temple, this one also had a pagoda-style structure.

After that, we visited Chilancho Mahabihar, known as one of the holiest places for Buddhist people. This temple has a dome-shaped structure, and we learned more about its design and size. It is said to have been built in the 15th century. Around the main temple, there are four smaller stupas located at each corner. I ate my lunch with my friends there, enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

Soon, it was time to leave. We packed our bags and started walking. But then I saw my biggest fear—heights. We had to cross a shaky bridge, and I was terrified. Still, I gathered my courage, faced my fear, and crossed the bridge. Surprisingly, it even started to feel fun! Right next to the bridge was the Kotega River, where we learned about the Kirtipur community—how they live, how they behave, and more. When we crossed the river again, I wasn’t scared anymore.

As we headed back to school, the view around us was breathtaking. This was the most fun trip I had ever been on. It was filled with joy, excitement, learning, and unforgettable adventures.
