Kathmandu, March 9: Nepali batsman Aasif Sheikh has completed 1,000 runs in limited over ODI cricket format.
He has crossed the milestone of 1,000 runs by scoring 90 runs against Papua New Guinea in ICC Cricket World Cup League-2.
While completing 1000 runs, he has played 32 matches. He made his One Day International cricket debut on 7 September 2021 against PNG.
Earlier, captain Rohit Kumar Paudel also completed 1000 runs in ODI cricket.
Nepal is playing against PNG today at the Tribhuvan International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur. After loosing the toss, Nepal had to bat first.
Nepali team looks in good motion. Batsman Aasif has already scored 105 runs after facing 106 balls. He has hit 11 fours and 2 sixes. His is still in the crease.
Likewise, Captain Rohit is in crease, and has scored 21 runs. Nepal has scored 193 runs after loosing 3 wickets in 36 overs. Earlier Kushal Bhurtel scored 45 runs, Kushal Malla 2 and Gyanendra Malla 11 runs.
