ACC U19 Asia Cup: Nepal suffers 7-wkt defeat against Bangladesh



Kathmandu, Dec 15: Nepal suffered a seven-wicket defeat to Bangladesh in the ongoing ACC Under-19 Asia Cup match played today in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.

Winning the toss at the Seven Stadium, Bangladesh opted to field first.

Chasing a modest target, Bangladesh reached the required total in 24.5 overs, losing three wickets. Zawad Abrar top-scored for Bangladesh with an unbeaten 70 off 68 balls, while Kalam Siddiki added 34 runs from 66 deliveries.

For Nepal, Abhisekh Tiwari and Yubraj Khatri claimed one wicket each.

Earlier, Nepal were bowled out for 130 runs in 31.1 overs of the allotted 50 overs. Abhisekh Tiwari was the top scorer with 30 runs, followed by Ashish Luhar with 23 and Sahil Patel with 18.

In the bowling department for Bangladesh, Md Sobuj took three wickets, while Saad Islam, Azizul Hakim, and Shahriar Ahmed picked up two wickets each.
