Kathmandu, May 14: The conflict victims have urged the Prime Minister to adopt transparency in selection process of the officials at transitional justice mechanism- the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, and the Commission for Investigation of the Enforced Disappeared Persons.
As many as 39 organizations including the Conflict Victims Women’s National Network, the National Network of the Victims of Serious Human Rights Violation and the Platforms of Conflict Victims demanded Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to ensure transparency and credibility in the nomination of chairs and members in the two commissions.
Chairman of the National Network of the Victims of Serious Human Rights Violation, Ram Kumar Bhandari, shared the information that PM Oli was written a letter by three dozens of organization, drawing his attention towards fair nomination of officials at the transitional justice mechanism. #nepal #justice mechanism #rss
