All-party meeting to take place at PM’s call



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has called an all-party meet in an effort to end prevailing parliamentary deadlock.

According to the Prime Minister’s secretariat, the meeting is taking place at PM’s official residence at 10.00 am this morning.

Personal Secretary of Prime Minister’s parliamentary party, Keshab Raj Joshi shared that top leaders of all political parties representing the federal parliament have been invited to the meeting.

Matters related to contemporary political affairs including ending impasse in the operation of parliament would be discussed in the meeting.

It may be noted that main opposition party, CPN-UML, has been obstructing the parliamentary meeting since the beginning of the current House session.

Top leaders of Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Centre), CPN (Unified Socialist), Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal, Loktantril Samajwadi Party Nepal, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Rastriya Janamorcha and Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP) are attending the meeting as shared by PM’s secretariat.

The main opposition CPN UML has said that they are not attending at the all-party meeting.
