Ambassador Kevin Kelly presents letter of credence to President Paudel



Kathmandu, May 13: President of Nepal Ram Chandra Paudel has received Letters of Credence from Kevin Kelly, Non-residential Ambassador of Ireland to Nepal, amidst a special ceremony at President’s Office, Sheetal Niwas, on Monday.

On the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Narayankaji Shrestha and other high-ranking officials of the Government of Nepal were also present at the ceremony.

Nepal and Ireland established diplomatic relations on 19 August 1999.

A considerable number of tourists from Ireland visit Nepal every year.  There have been investments of worth 738 million rupees in seven projects from Ireland up to the year 2070 B.S.

Ireland’s embassy in New Delhi is concurrently accredited to Nepal while Embassy of Nepal in London looks after Nepal’s relations with Ireland.
