Ambassador Rupakheti presents Letters of Credence to President of Germany



Kathmandu, Dec 21: Dr. Shail Rupakheti, Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary of Nepal to the Federal Republic of Germany presented his ‘Letters of Credence’ to Frank-Walter Steinmeier, President of the Federal Republic of Germany amidst a special ceremony held at Schloss Bellevue on December 18, the Embassy of Nepal in Berlin stated in a press release.

Ambassador Dr. Rupakheti was received in audience by the President of Germany following the presentation of ‘Letters of Credence’.

During the audience, Ambassador Rupakheti conveyed messages of goodwill from President Ramchandra Paudel and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, and expressed his commitment to further expand the bilateral relations between the two countries.

Dr. Rupakheti in response to the curiosity of the German President shared the current political developments in Nepal, geopolitics, priorities of the Government of Nepal. Furthermore, he thanked the Government of Germany for its continued support in Nepal’s pursuit of sustainable and inclusive socio-economic transformation.

The President of Germany appreciated the excellent relation existing between Nepal and Germany. The President also recalled a bilateral meeting with President Paudel at the Schloss Bellevue which was held on 17 June 2024. The president also thanked for an official invitation extended by President to Nepal.

High ranking officials of the Government of Germany were also present at the ceremony. During the ceremony, Dr. Rupakheti was accompanied by his spouse Dr. Indira Paudyal and Mr. Chuman Singh K C, Third Secretary at the Embassy of Nepal. RSS #nepal
