Amik Sherchan and Sharmila Pant relieved from State Chiefs

KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has administered oath of office and secrecy to the chiefs of state appointed in Gandaki and Sudurpashchim states.

On the recommendation of the cabinet meeting on Monday, Sita Poudel in Gandaki and Ganga Prasad Yadav in Sudurpashchim were appointed as the state chief. They were sworn in by President Bhandari on Monday afternoon. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was also present at the swearing-in ceremony.

Amik Sherchan in Gandaki and Sharmila Kumari Pant in the Sudurpashcim were the state chiefs. They were dismissed by President Bhandari on Monday on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers. Earlier, they were appointed as the state chief after the unification of the CPN (UML) and the UCPN (Maoist Centre). Both of them were represent from CPN (Maoist Centre).

Earlier, Tilak Pariyar, who is a member of the UCPN (Maoist Centre) Central Committee, has also relieved from the State Chief of Province 2.
