Kathmandu, Nov 3: The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has announced that the National League will begin on December 24.
The decision was made during a meeting held on Monday at ANFA headquarter in Satdobato between ANFA officials and club representatives. The meeting also decided that the ‘A’ Division League will not be held this year. The last ‘A’ Division League took place in 2022. However, the meeting agreed to organize the next ‘A’ Division League from December 18, 2026.
The upcoming National League will feature 10 teams — the top six teams from the previous ‘A’ Division League and the top four teams from the ongoing ANFA President’s League in Makwanpur.
The six ‘A’ Division teams include Church Boys United Club, Machhindra Football Club, Nepal Police Team, Jawalakhel Youth Club, Satdobato Youth Club, and NRT.
According to ANFA, participating teams must register their squads by November 25 (Mangsir 9), while team registration must be completed by November 21 (Mangsir 5). The match fixtures for the National League will be published on December 5 (Mangsir 19). #nepal #anfa
