KATHMANDU: An agreement has been reached between APF Hospital and Manav Sewa Ashram regarding treatment of helpless and disabled people. The agreement was reached during a ceremony held at the Armed Police Force, Headquarters, Halchowk on Sunday.
In the presence of patron of Nepal APF Hospital, Inspector General of Armed Police Shailendra Khanal and patron of Manav Sewa Ashram Dr. Govinda Tandon, APF Hospital’s Senior Superintendent of Technical Armed Police Dr Rupak Maharjan and chairman of the Ashram Ramji Adhikari signed the letter regarding health treatment.
During a function organized on the occasion of the 20th Armed Police Day 2077 BS, Inspector General of the Armed Police Khanal had announced to provide free treatment to the helpless, disabled people in the Ashram through the welfare scheme.
Speaking on the occasion, IG Khanal said that the Armed Police Force, Nepal would continue to work together for security and service.
Patron of Manav Sewa Ashram Dr Govinda Tandon expressed his happiness and gratitude to the Armed Police Force for this sacred work, recalling the difficult days in the past when the ascetics had to go to many hospitals for treatment.
Along with this agreement, the dependents of the ashram will be provided free emergency, out-patient, general and specialist OPD, all the wards under inpatient services, ICU, HCU, HDU, minor and major operation services, pathology services available at Nepal APF Hospital.
In addition to radiology, X-ray, CT scan, ultrasound, echocardiography and physiotherapy services as well as medicines available in the hospital for ICU and dialysis, heart disease, kidney disease, diabetes etc. will be provided free of cost.
In the agreement, it has been mentioned that out of the existing 110 beds in Nepal APF Hospital, three beds will be provided to the helpless, disabled of Manav Seva Ashram.
