Armed Police seizes goods worth Rs 3.2 million

Nepalgunj, Dec 15: The Armed Police Force, Nepal, seized the goods worth Rs 3.2 million which was imported from India by evading taxes.

The Deputy Superintendent of AFP Nepal Mahendra Bharati said that the goods was held on Thursday during the security checks at Simalghari of Khajura Rural Municipality-6. The police also seized a truck used to supply the goods from India by evading taxes.

The seized goods include cloths, copper idols, kitchen items, goods for decoration and others.

DSP Bharati shared that two persons including the truck driver were also held. The truck driver is Indian national Sakir Hussein.
