KATHMANDU: A meeting was held between Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JB Rana and Chief of Army Staff Purna Chandra Thapa on Monday.
General Thapa had reached the Supreme Court in the afternoon to meet Chief Justice Rana. The court administration has stated that they have invited him to discuss about the land behind the Supreme Court.
A new building is being constructed behind the existing building of the Supreme Court. Land acquisition and tender has been done for this. However, the Chief Justice has requested the Army Chief to remove army’s infrastructures.
Spokesperson of the Nepal Army Santosh Ballabh Poudyal also confirmed that the Army Chief Thapa went to Supreme Court to discuss about the land issue.
