Rukum, Jan 5: Two women from Aathbis Municipality in Rukum West were airlifted to Surkhet for medical treatment via helicopter. The rescue involved one postpartum woman and one pregnant woman.
According to Dev Bahadur Gharti, spokesperson for Aathbis Municipality, Dhanmaya Budha, 24, from Ward No. 2, Pahada, and Deepa Bohara from Ward No. 3, Khadi, were transported to the Provincial Hospital in Surkhet by a Nepal Army helicopter. Deepa was suffering from severe bleeding following childbirth, while Dhanmaya faced complications due to high blood pressure.
As the municipal hospital was unable to provide adequate care, they were referred to Surkhet for further treatment.
The municipality sought assistance from the District Administration Office when the patients’ conditions became critical. The rescue was carried out under the President’s Women Upliftment Program, using a helicopter to ensure timely medical attention for the postpartum and pregnant women. #pregnant #nepal #NepalArmy
