Kathmandu, June 14: The Australian Embassy in Kathmandu has said that Australia looks forward to working with Nepal to identify further opportunities to increase trade and investment through the Trade and Investment Framework Arrangement (TIFA) signed in February 2024.
In a post in social media, the Embassy has also welcomed the investment arrangement in a hotel to be constructed in Rara.
The Embassy has said, “Great to see Australia and Nepal FDI announcements at the Nepal Investment Summit in April. Thanks for your presentation on the Rara Resort project at Murma Top, Rara, Mugu – a JV tourism investment project with Australian consortium Expert Group and Abhishek Bikram Shah of Rara Holdings.” The Embassy also thanked Abhishek Bikram Shah of Rara Holdings, a Nepali consortium.
In a recently concluded Nepal Investment Summit, both Expert Group and Rara Holdings signed an agreement to construct a well managed hotel near the beautiful Rara Lake.
