Baburam Sharma appointed as CEO of Venture Hire Purchase Company

Kathmandu, Jan 10: Baburam Sharma has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Venture Hire Purchase Company.

The board meeting held on Tuesday decided to promote Sharma, who joined Venture Hire Purchase as a business head three and a half years ago.

Sharma, who has worked in the IME Group for over a decade and a half, joined the group from IME Finance. He has also worked as the head of IME Motors Birgunj for 4 years.

After leaving the government job, he joined the banking service and has a special interest in banking and automobile sector. He has a master’s degree in economics and English from Tribhuvan University and has also done an EMBA from Management Development College (MAN).

Venture Hire Purchase, a financing company under IME Group, is an organization licensed to conduct hire purchase transactions from Nepal Rastra Bank. The company, which has a paid-up capital of 30 crores, has now invested more than two billion rupees in the market.

It is understood that the company, which has been profitable for 4 consecutive years, will be made a public limited company in the near future and will soon launch an IPO.
