Bagmati Province CM Pandey takes oath

HETAUDA: Newly appointed Chief Minister of Bagmati Rajendra Pandey took oath of office and secrecy on Thursday.

Pandey, leader of the CPN (Unified Socialist) and member of the Province Assembly, replaced Asta Laxmi Shakya, leader of main opposition CPN (UML).

The Province Chief Yadav Raj Sharma administered the oath of office and secrecy to Pandey amid a function in Hetauda today.

Also today, Chief Minister Pandey formed a four-member Cabinet after appointing three ministers. Kumari Moktan from the CPN (Maoist Centre), a coalition partner in the incumbent government, has been appointed as Minister for Social Development.

Likewise, Krishna Lal Bhadel from ruling Nepali Congress has been chosen as Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development and Krishna Prasad Sharma Khanal from the CPN (US) Minister for Internal Affairs and Law.

The newly appointed ministers took the oath of office and secrecy today itself.
