Kathmandu, Feb 7: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the police has released three people including businessman Arun Chaudhary while maintaining the investigation in the fraud case.
According to the order of the Kathmandu District Court, they were released from custody on bail.
According to Senior Supersintendent of Police Dinesh Acharya of CIB, the investigation in relation to fraud and violation of the country’s law and the civil code are going on continuously. “In accordance with the law, the investigation has proceeded. At the same time, three accused were arrested and released on bail according to the order given by the court. CIB will continue to investigate the issue of embezzlement of government land seriously,” said Acharya.
The district court in Kathmandu allowed three people, including industrialist Arun Kumar Chaudhary, who were arrested on charges of misappropriation of the land of Bansbari Leather Shoe Factory on Monday, to be detained for two more days for investigation.
The CIB arrested Ajit Narayan Singh Thapa, then president of Bansbari Leather Shoe Company Limited, along with Chaudhary, and Sanjay Thakur, Chairman of the board of directors, from Kathmandu on Thursday. #Nepal
