Kathmandu, Feb 18: Three names have been recommended for the Vice Chancellor of Tribhuvan University (TU).
The Vice-Chancellor Selection and Recommendation Committee headed by Education Minister Ashok Rai has recommended three names out of the 14 shortlisted candidates.
The names of Kesharjung Baral, Tankanath Dhamala and Chitra Bahadur Budhathoki have been recommended for the position of Vice-Chancellor.
Earlier, the recommendation committee had released a short list of 14 candidates. A total of 43 people applied for the position of Vice Chancellor.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, who is also the Chancellor of TU, has vowed to appoint Vice-Chancellor in a free and fair manner.
The oldest university of Nepal, Tribhuvan University, has been suffering from politicization. However, sources said that all three recommended candidates are close to CPN Maoist Centre. #Nepal
