Chitwan, Jan 30: Bharatpur Hospital in Chitwan has introduced an automated machine that allows patients to retrieve their lab test reports independently.

According to hospital spokesperson Gopal Paudel, the machine was installed to reduce patient congestion and was purchased for approximately Rs 700,000.

Hospital Engineer Chandramani Basyal explained that patients can scan the QR code on their bill to view and print their test reports. He stated, “Once the test results are ready, patients can scan the QR code on the machine and immediately print their reports.”

The machine can print up to three reports per minute, and the hospital plans to purchase an additional machine soon to further enhance efficiency.

With this system, patients receiving lab tests at Bharatpur Hospital are now given a QR-coded bill. By scanning this code at the machine, they can instantly access and print their reports. Additionally, patients can scan the QR code using their mobile phones to view the report digitally.

Hospital Medical Superintendent Prof Dr Krishna Prasad Paudel stated that the automated system will make healthcare services more convenient for patients. He remarked, “With the increasing patient load, we believe this machine will significantly improve service efficiency.”

Bharatpur Hospital serves over 2,000 patients daily and is undergoing major infrastructure expansion, including the construction of four new buildings: a Trauma Center, an Infectious Disease Control building, a Cath Lab, and a Nursing College. Once completed, these facilities will further enhance patient care at the hospital. #nepal #health #hospital #chitwan
