Biratnagar, June 7: The 10th Children’s Assembly organized by the Biratnagar Metropolitan City (BMC) kicked off here Friday. The representative children from all 19 wards of BMC are attending the event.
On this occasion, Mayor Nagesh Koirala informed that the Metropolis was always ready for the protection and promotion of child rights. He pledged to ensure budget for the protection of child rights. BMC was at work to announce it a child-friendly city.
Addressing the event, ward no-1Chair Kaji Bahadur Basnet, also coordinator of the social development committee of the metropolitan city, urged the child clubs to be more active.
It was shared in the event that out of 51 indicators required to announce the child-friendly city, the metropolis was near the target. #rss #nepal
