President Ramchandra Paudel launched the book amidst a programme organized here today on the occasion of the 75 years of the establishment of NMA.
The book has incorporated the biographical details, contributions and struggles of 32 chairs of NMA.
On the occasion, President Paudel said it was a happy moment that skilled and specialist doctors were being produced in Nepal and quality treatment services were put in place.
President Paudel expressed concern over the lack of opportunities in the country despite production of adequate human resource in the country. “Skilled human resource is being produced in the country but there are complaints of not getting enough opportunities. It has led to the trend of doctors going abroad. The concerned parties should be serious to put this to an end”.
NMA Chair Dr Anil Bikram Karki said the book has been published to recognize and commemorate the contribution of the doctors in the health sector of Nepal. The book was edited by Praveen Dhakal.
NMA was established by 20 doctors of Bir Hospital on 20 Falgun 2007 BS. The founder chair of NMA was Dr Siddimani Acharya Dixit.#nepal #rss
