British Ambassador Fenn pays courtesy call on Vice-President Yadav



Kathmandu, April 28: British Ambassador to Nepal, Rob Fenn, paid a courtesy call on Vice-President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav.

During the meeting at the Office of the Vice-President, Lainchaur, on Monday, they discussed the matters related to bilateral relations, VP Yadav’s private secretariat shared.

Talking about close relations between Nepal and the United Kingdom, Vice-President Yadav mentioned that Nepal and the UK have been enjoying cordial diplomatic relations since 1816.

Noting that the UK has been a key development partner of Nepal, the Vice President extended gratefulness for the support and cooperation provided to Nepal during the times of disaster.The political, economical, cultural and people-to-people relation between the two countries is unique. It is becoming deeper in recent time”, the Vice-President said.

I appreciated the contribution of British Gurkhas in strengthening people-to-people relations between the two countries”, he said adding it was necessary to logically conclude the discussions taking place at diplomatic level in order to address genuine demands of ex-Gurkha soldiers on time.

Vice-President Yadav also expected high-level participation from the UK in the first edition of Sagarmatha Sambaad (Everest Dialogue) to be held in Kathmandu from May 16 under the theme ‘Climate Change, Mountains and Future of Humanity’. #nepal #political #rss
