Kathmandu, April 25: The budget session of the Federal Parliament is commencing today.
President Ramchandra Paudel, at the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, has summoned the meeting of the Federal Parliament for 1:00 this afternoon.
According to the business schedule released by the Federal Parliament Secretariat, the Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Devraj Ghimire, will inform the House about the budget session summoned by the President and the cabinet reshuffle.
Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel is scheduled to present a proposal on the principle and priorities of the Appropriation Bill for discussions.
On the first day of the House session, leaders from different political parties will be given time based on their party affiliations for deliberations.
Additionally, the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s personal secretariat has shared that the Prime Minister Oli will address the House today.
The government’s policy and programs, as well as the annual budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2025/26 will be presented in this session of the Federal Parliament.
