KATHMANDU: The government has decided to remove the weekly leave being given on Sundays effective from June 15, 2022.
Finance Minister Janardan Sharma informed that the cabinet meeting held on Monday decided not to grant leave on Sundays.
With the decision, there will be a regular public holiday only on Saturday.
The government had introduced the two-day public holiday to economise the government expenditure. However, the general public were against such mechanism, citing difficult to get government services within five days.
