Cabinet recalls 11 Nepali envoys, PM to visit India for Modi’s inauguration

Kathmandu, June 6: The meeting of Council of Ministers today recalled 11 Nepali envoys working in different countries including India, United States of America, United Kingdom, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Malaysia, Spain, Portugal, Denmark and Israel.

Ambassador Dr Shankar Sharma was serving in India, while Sharmila Parajuli Dhakal in Spain, Prof. Dr. Ram Swarth Ray (Denmark), Prof Shreedhar Khatri (USA), Gyan Chandra Acharya (UK), Dr. Naresh Bikram Dhakal (Qatar), Nava Raj Subedi  (Saudi Arabia), Kanta Rizal (Israel), Prof. Dr. Jyoti Pyakuryal (Bhandari) (South Korea) and Dilli Raj Poudel (Malaysia).

Likewise, the cabinet has approved the visit of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda for the swearing-in ceremony of the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. The Prime Minister Dahal had telephoned the Indian Prime Minister Modi for successfully holding the general election.

The cabinet also approved the submission of a bill to the Federal Parliament to amend some Nepal Acts related to investment facilitation.

The government has also appointed Mr Narendra Bhandari as Chairman of Hetauda Cement Industry, Mr Padam Oli as General Manager of Industrial Area Management Limited, and Mr Tej Bahadur Rai as Executive Director of the International Convention Center.

Similarly, the cabinet has approved in-principle to build the new headworks and additional structures of the Melamchi water supply project at a suitable location in the upper coastal area of ​​the Melamchi river.

The government has designated 52 types of diseases as infectious disease according to sub-section (1) of section 49 of the Public Health Service Act, 2075, approved the Pesticides Management Regulations, 2081, and approved the Senior Citizens (First Amendment) Regulations, 2081.
