Government hikes minimum wages of informal sector workers

Kathmandu, Aug 18: The government has hiked the minimum wages of workers in the informal sector beginning July 17, 2023. With the new decision, the monthly wage of informal sector workers is fixed at Rs 17,300. Likewise, the wage of tea estate workers is fixed at Rs 13,893 per month.
